Automatic Car Number Plate Detection using Morphological Image Processing

One of the most common uses computer vision, automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) is also a pretty well-explored subject with numerous effective solutions. Due to regional differences in license design, however, these solutions are often optimized for specific setting. Number algorithms dependent on aspects, making universal solution unlikely due fact that image analysis methods used develop cannot guarantee perfect success rate. In this research, we offer an algorithm tailor-made use brand-new plates Iraq. The method employs edge detection, Feature Detection, and mathematical morphology find plate; it was developed C++ using OpenCV library. When characters were found plate, they entered into Easy OCR engine analysis.
